Maintain clean data and consistent practices in order for Fashion GPS to be most effective.
Employees that will use Fashion GPS constantly should determine these lists together. Once this is decided and provided to Fashion GPS, the fields can be locked down. This means every time an employee attempts to create a new sample or contact they must choose from these pre‐defined lists. They will not have the ability to create new types, fabrics, patterns, etc.
This allows users to run effective searches and clean reporting.
Users will have the ability to run quick searches for sample pulls and inventory tracking. For example, a user can search all red tops rather than having scarlet, rouge, berry as different “colors” and tops, blouse, shirt, shirts as “types”. All designer/product specific language should be placed in the description.
This also assists with targeted mailings and list-building for contacts. For example, users can pull a search of all contact Category: PRESS if they’re building a group for an event or all contacts that are Type: EDITOR, BEAUTY, BLOGGER for a press release mailing.
