Collections vs. Collection names
A Collection is the association of a Designer, Season, and Collection name to one another. In order to import samples via the Excel, the Collection must be created in Collection Editor first.
For example, you have an existing Collection that is Designer: Stitches, Season: SS14, and Collection name: Womenswear. Now you want to import an Excel for Designer: Stitches, Season: FW15, and Collection name: Womenswear. You still have to go into Collection Editor and associate those three fields to one another before importing your Excel.
Creating New Collections
- Click on the “Create Collection” button in the upper right corner of the page.
Enter the collection details, keeping in mind that any header with a red asterisk* is a required field.
From this pop-up you can add new designers, seasons, and retail stockists by clicking the plus sign (+) next to each header.
- Retails stockists can be added to a collection for reference when filling out a Credit Request. That way, when filling out credit information for a sample, the stockist will be saved for that collection.
- When you create a Collection, you have the option of requiring a Return Disclaimer on Delivery Memos any time a sample from that Collection is sent out. You will still be able to edit the Return Disclaimer by clicking on the bottom of the Delivery Memo template.
