Customizing Your Invitation

Customize your invitations, reminder emails, follow-up emails and more

Create a new invitation

  • Select your desired template. The default template is “RSVP Invitation Email Template”, which is in standard invitation format. You can also use/edit any of the other templates from the drop-down menu.

  • To customize a template, select it and then click “Edit”. Click “Preview” to view the existing template or send yourself a test email.


 
  • The required fields will populate with the information you entered when you created the event, but you can also edit them to your liking. To customize your invitation, you can use any of the following fields:

NOTE: We recommend sizing your image at approximately 250 x 333 pixels

  • Send From Name: This is the name from which the message will appear to be sent from.

  • Send From Email: This is the email address from which the message will appear to be sent from.

  • Reply-To Email: This is the email address that will receive all responses to your mailing.

  • Subject: This will appear as the subject of your email in your recipients’ inboxes.

  • Invitation Image: This will allow you to add an image to appear within your email, with the text of the email on either side of the image.

  • Client Logo: This will allow you to add a logo or header image to appear at the top or bottom of the email spanning its width.


 
  • Custom Database Variables: These are the fields that allow you to mail merge from your database. Add custom database variables to your email such as the recipients’ first or last name, salutation, etc. Be sure not to delete anything within the percentage signs.

  • Enable this option to include the Standard footer (Unsubscribe and Update Profile links) in your invitations.

Additional Tips

  • Adding an Image to Your Mailing: Add an image to the body of your mailing by selecting the small mountain icon in the second row of the email formatting options. This will allow you to browse for the image and add it so it is in line with your text.​
NOTE: We recommend sizing e-vites at 600 pixels on the longest side, 300 dpi

​Embedding an RSVP link in text or an image

  • Select "Event RSVP URL" from the Custom Database Fields. Once it's placed in the Invitation, highlight it and cut it.


  • Highlight the text or image you would like to embed the RSVP link into. Then click on the Link icon in the mailing editor.


  • Paste the previously cut Custom Database Variable into the "URL" field. Make sure to select "Protocol: Other" and click OK.

  • The text or image will now be a hyperlink that takes the Invitee to the RSVP page. ​
